Landing Page Policies

This guide outlines how to ensure your landing pages comply with Adxe’s policies on user experience, transparency, and third-party content.

Landing pages are the destination where users arrive after clicking your campaign. They contain your primary content and may include third-party content like advertisements.

All landing pages must adhere to the following Adxe policies:

  • Restricted Content, Products, and Services
  • Prohibited Content, Products, and Services

These guidelines aren’t exhaustive, and campaigns suspected of potentially harming our publishers or users may be disapproved.

Improving Your Landing Pages

User Experience

Quality:

  • Ensure content is well-written, grammatically correct, and free of typos.
  • Use high-quality, truthful images that accurately represent your campaign.
  • Ensure all hyperlinks and navigational elements function correctly and are clearly labeled.

Content:

  • Match the landing page language to your campaign and targeted audience.
  • Maintain clarity, truthfulness, and originality—avoid plagiarism.
  • Offer substantial and engaging content—avoid pages primarily serving as directories or search indexes.

Accessibility:

  • Landing pages should be accessible without unnecessary barriers like paywalls or forced registrations, unless legally required or explicitly permitted by Adxe.

Clarity and Transparency

Endorsements:

  • Include genuine social media comments linked directly to their sources or clearly disclosed authentic testimonials.
  • Hyperlink media logos endorsing your product or service to the source articles.
  • Always use authorized images and content—avoid unauthorized use of government symbols, celebrities, or branded logos.

Promotional Details:

  • Use appropriate urgency without misleading tactics (avoid countdown timers or misleading timestamps).
  • Clearly present all promotional information.
  • Ensure company details and contact information are easily accessible (include an impressum if required).
  • Promotional content must be clearly distinguishable from editorial content.

Claims:

  • Clearly disclose any associated costs when using terms like ‘Free’ (e.g., shipping fees).
  • Competitor-related claims must be fully substantiated and transparent.

Videos:

  • Provide a transcript link for videos exceeding one minute.
  • Use user-initiated audio with clear playback controls (mute/unmute, pause, rewind, fast forward).
  • Clearly display the promoting company’s contact information.

Disclosures:

  • Provide clear disclosures for:
    • Paid endorsements (“These are paid testimonials.”)
    • Testimonials with atypical results (“Results not typical.”)
    • Promotional content that may appear editorial (label clearly as “Advertorial”).
    • Any sponsorship or paid authorship (“Sponsored By Company Name”).

Advertisements and Third-Party Content

This policy includes:

  • Ads or third-party content directly on your landing page.
  • Subsequent pages users navigate to after interacting with those ads.

Adxe is committed to maintaining a high-quality content network. Thus, we monitor third-party advertisements and recommendations on your landing pages. Certain third-party practices diminish overall network quality.

Third-party ads must:

  • Clearly indicate they are advertisements.
  • Disclose the widget’s provider/source.
  • Identify promoters of ads within widgets, adhering to Adxe’s Branding Text Guidelines.
